Well, as usual, I have a million excuses for my absence from the crazy world of blogging...but, the biggest one is the fact that we have sold our house.
We are very blessed to have passed it along to a wonderful little family! I sure they will make lots of wonderful memories there! For now, Matthew and I are still in limbo, but hopefully we'll be moving back to our townhouse before the baby arrives! I can't wait to show off the nursery...that is, when it is all put together! xoxo Hannah

GHS - 10 yr Reunion
First, let me apologize for being a little absent lately....this pregnancy thing can definitely leave you feeling a little crazy! Especially when you're trying to sell your house and move! But, enough excuses...here is a brief recap of our weekend at my 10 year high school reunion at my alma mater...Geneva High School!
Me circa 2001!! Please don't laugh too hard at the hair!! It really was cool! :)
The Homecoming assembly spotlight....yes, the returning 10 year class always sits on the stage! It's been a tradition since 1948!
These are pics from our class picnic at the Junction....everyone brought their kiddos and enjoyed lots of good food!
And, for those of you wondering about our awesome tshirts, they are one of my originals! I thought they turned out really good!
After the picnic, we all headed downtown for the parade!
And, only in my hometown would you see a sight like this in a parade! But they are pretty famous in Geneva, so I had to grab a pic!
Finally, we wrapped everything up at the Legion Hall party after the football game! It was a very long day, but worth it! I really enjoyed catching up with everyone and I'm already looking forward to our next reunion!

Annoucement Party
Well, a couple of weeks ago Matthew and I found out the gender of our precious Baby D! Some good friends of mine wanted to have a little casual get-together for the big reveal. So, after our appointment I went home to make cupcakes!
I decided to make both pink and blue so everyone could pick which one they thought we were having...a girl or boy. The results were interesting, but the surprise was even better!
Baby D is a boy!! We are so excited! We got a good report from the doctor and everything is on track for January 2011! I know I'm his Mama, but isn't he handsome!?!?
Thanks to all the friends that made this experience even more special!!
Now, it's time to start sewing! xoxo Hannah

While We Wait
Less than 3 weeks to go and we find out whether our "bundle of joy" will be a boy or girl. We are so excited! Matthew is about to die to know! He wants a boy so bad! I'll be happy with either-just as long as it is healthy! :) So, while we wait, I thought I'd show-off some cute things for either a boy or a girl.
The pirate applique is from Swak Embroidery and the pattern is the John-John from Martha Pullen's Favorite Appliques book. I just love it in the khaki seer sucker!
And this adorable outfit is made from the Taylor pattern by Children's Corner. It's the same pattern I used for the Tiger, Tiger II outfit. Plus this one is reversible! Who doesn't love that?

Frozen Grapes
I know I've been MIA lately, but I do have a good reason. I've been on a work vacation in Denver, Colorado!! I'll try to post some photos soon, but in the meantime, I thought I'd share my new favorite summertime recipe, Frozen Grapes!
The directions are simple. First, rinse the grapes and gently pat them dry with a towel. Then, remove the grapes from the stem and place in a freezable bowl. I prefer plastic storage containers with lids. Next pour one 3 oz package of grape flavored Jell-O on top of the grapes.
Cover the container with the lid and then shake it to cover the grapes with the Jell-O powder. The place the covered container in the freezer for 4-6 hours or until frozen.
These Frozen Grapes make a cool and refreshing snack, especially when you're laying-out poolside! The kiddos are sure to love them, too! Hope you enjoy!

Tiger, Tiger II
As an Auburn Tiger fan, I am constantly looking for anything cute for kiddie clothes. I recently stumbled across this cute tiger applique on the Embroidery Boutique website. I changed some of the fabric colors to look more like our mascot, Aubie, and I added the googly eyes! (If you're interested, right now Embroidery Boutique is having a 30% off sale and orders over $20 receive and additional $10 off! But that deal is only good through May 10th with coupon code MOTHER. So act quick!)
I used the applique on some $1 per yard fabric I got months ago at Walmart. You know, before they completely eliminated their fabric department! Because of that I now avoid that store at all costs! So, don't even get me started! I can go on for hours!
But, anyway, the pattern is Taylor by Children's Corner. It is so easy and cute! Plus you can make it reversible. Maybe one day I'll show you that version, too! xoxo Hannah

Picnic with the Kiddos!
This past Sunday, a.k.a. Mother's Day, all of the girls from our monthly super club, got the families together for a good old fashioned picnic on the library lawn at the University.
It was such a beautiful afternoon and the kids had a blast! And, as usual, the food was awesome! A special thanks to Scotty, April's hubbie, for supplying the delicious BBQ!
We even managed to include a mini baby shower for Mandy & Lou! They are expecting sweet baby Hunter on June 5th.
The rest of the evening, I enjoyed taking photos of all the kiddos! It is amazing how much the group has grown! I'm really looking forward to next time!

Lillian's First Birthday!
Here are some adorable photos of a Lilly Pulitzer inspired 1st birthday party for Lillian at the Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art at Auburn University. Her mommy and daddy, Heather and John, went all out with invitations, address stickers and favor tags. It was really fun designing these fun pieces for their special day!
Favor tags add a special touch to any thank you!
Happy Birthday sweet angel! xoxo Hannah

Keep Opelika Beautiful
A few weeks ago, some friends of ours, Joe and Angie, got married in our backyard. I know, it sounds a little crazy, at least that's what I first thought! But it actually turned out beautiful and they enjoyed the intimate, family ceremony they really wanted for their special day.
But, it definitely meant we had some yard work to do! I helped out in the flowerbeds around the house, but Matthew had all of the big jobs! He put out fresh pine straw, installed lattice under the back deck and made sure all of the grass was green and trimmed. He even got his first case of poison ivy through all of his hard work! Little did we know, it would all payoff by receiving the Opelika Beautification Award, from Keep Opelika Beautiful, Inc.!
It was quite a surprise, but such an honor! I do give Matthew all of the credit, because he works really hard on maintaining the yard. He was such a good sport and let me get some photos of him so I could show-off his handy-work. Thanks honey...I'm so proud of you!!
